The car was traveling from Etah towards Aligarh, while the canter was approaching from the opposite direction. A tire burst on the car caused the driver to lose control, break through the divider, and collide head-on with the canter. Immediately after the impact, both vehicles burst into flames. Among the deceased are the canter driver, a woman, a child, and a man. Police will identify the victims using chassis numbers and inform their families.
Horrific Road Accident on Aligarh-Etah Highway
According to the police, the accident took place in the Akrabad police station area. The car was en route from Etah to Aligarh, while the canter was traveling from Aligarh towards Etah. The car was estimated to be traveling at approximately 100 kilometers per hour. A sudden tire burst led to the driver losing control, causing the car to break through the divider and veer into the opposite lane.
Simultaneously, the canter was approaching from the opposite direction. The impact was so severe that both vehicles immediately caught fire. Local residents rushed to the scene and, amidst cries for help, alerted the police and fire brigade. It took approximately 20-25 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
