New Delhi: IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has released a major update regarding the Probationary Officer (PO) Prelims 2025 exam. After the admit cards, the exam pattern and sample question papers have also been made available so that candidates can familiarize themselves with the exam pattern. This examination will be conducted on August 17, 23, and 24 in four shifts each day. It will include papers on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The exam will be for 100 marks and will be conducted in a total of 60 minutes. Candidates are advised to focus on speed and accuracy to score above the cut-off.
Sample Paper After Admit Card
After downloading the admit card, candidates now have access to sample papers. These sample questions include examples from English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. English includes questions on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. Quantitative Aptitude includes questions based on calculation and data interpretation. The Reasoning Ability section includes questions on analogy, classification, and logical relations.
Exam Date and Schedule
IBPS PO Pre 2025 will be conducted over three days. The first exam will be on August 17, followed by the remaining shifts on August 23 and 24. There will be four shifts each day. Candidates will find the correct date and shift information for their exam on their admit card.
Exam Pattern Details
IBPS has also clarified the exam pattern. This time too, the prelims exam will be in three sections.
- English Language: This section will have 30 questions, totaling 30 marks. 20 minutes will be allotted to solve this section.
- Quantitative Aptitude: This section will have 35 questions, with a total value of 35 marks. The questions will be in both English and Hindi languages. The time allotted will be 20 minutes.
- Reasoning Ability: This section will have 35 questions, totaling 35 marks. 20 minutes are allotted for this section as well.
In total, there will be 100 questions across all three sections. The entire exam must be completed in 60 minutes, i.e., one hour. The total marks will be 100.
Instructions for Candidates
IBPS has stated that candidates should reach the examination hall on time. They should carry their admit card and photo identification card with them. The examination will be completely online. Questions will appear on the computer screen, and answers must be selected by clicking on the options. The time for each section is fixed. As soon as the time is up, the next section will automatically open.
Competitive Environment and Large Number of Applications
The popularity of jobs in the banking sector is constantly increasing. This is why lakhs of candidates participate in the IBPS PO exam every year. The number of applications is quite high this time as well. Only candidates who perform well in the prelims will get a chance to appear for the main exam. After the main exam, there will be an interview, and the final merit list will be released.
