15 August: Traffic arrangements in Delhi and NCR will be affected on August 15th on the occasion of Independence Day. Delhi Traffic Police and Noida Police have issued advisories for the convenience of travelers. Several major routes will be closed from morning to evening due to the parade and ceremony at the Red Fort.
Like every year, this year too, the Independence Day ceremony will be held at the Red Fort. Due to stringent security arrangements, vehicular movement will be restricted on several routes on the Delhi and NCR border. Travelers are advised to read the traffic advisory before traveling.
Which Routes Will Be Closed?
According to Noida Traffic Police, the entry of heavy vehicles from Noida to Delhi will be prohibited from 10 pm on August 14th until the end of the program on August 15th.
In addition, the movement of general vehicles will be restricted on some major routes in Delhi. These include Chandni Chowk to Red Fort, Daryaganj to Ring Road, and Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg.
Only those with an invitation card issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs will be allowed entry on these routes. The general public and other vehicles will not be able to use these routes.

The Traffic Police has stated that the movement of general vehicles will be completely restricted on the above routes from 4 am on August 15th until the end of the ceremony.
