The monsoon is once again set to gain momentum across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in several states for September 13. People in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh may face weather-related challenges.
Weather Update: The monsoon of 2025 has picked up pace once again. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in several states for September 13. In addition to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also expected in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan within the next 24 hours.
According to weather experts, a cyclonic circulation is present over the lower and middle tropospheric levels, extending from the northern coastal Andhra Pradesh to adjoining southern Odisha. This circulation is tilting southwestward, and under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the west-central Bay of Bengal in the next two days. This increases the possibility of rain and stormy winds in many states.
