Consequently, security has been increased in districts of Uttar Pradesh bordering Nepal. Meanwhile, Nagina MP and national president of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), Chandrashekhar Azad, has made a special appeal to the Modi government. He stated that the life and interests of every Indian are paramount, and the government should take immediate steps in this direction.
Chandrashekhar Azad's Appeal to the Modi Government
Amidst the violence and instability in Nepal, Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad has expressed concern over the safety of Indian citizens. He said that the Modi government should take immediate steps for the safe evacuation of stranded Indians and tourists.
Azad suggested on X that special flights, buses, and other means of transport should be made available for this purpose. Additionally, he demanded concrete diplomatic initiatives to protect the property and trade interests of Indian exporters.
Alert Increased on UP-Nepal Border
Following the violence in Nepal, the Uttar Pradesh police are on high alert. DGP Rajiv Krishna stated that security has been beefed up in districts bordering Nepal. Additional police forces have been deployed at SSB outposts and police stations.
The DGP said that Indians stranded in Nepal are continuously sending messages, and swift action is being taken to bring them back to India safely. He assured that the government and security agencies are closely monitoring the situation.
