The dispute between India and Pakistan is escalating after the Super-4 match of the Asia Cup 2025 played in Dubai. This matter has now reached the International Cricket Council (ICC) directly.

Sports News: The on-field dispute between India and Pakistan, which began after the Super-4 match of the Asia Cup 2025 played in Dubai, has now escalated to an international level. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has lodged an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against two Pakistani players, fast bowler Haris Rauf and batsman Sahibzada Farhan. In retaliation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also filed a counter-complaint against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav.

BCCI's Complaint: Objection to Provocative Gestures

The Indian board has bly objected to the behavior of Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan during the Super-4 match played in Dubai on September 21. Haris Rauf is accused of making a gesture while bowling that appeared to depict a plane falling. It is believed that this gesture was intended to mock the actions of the Indian army. Furthermore, he also used abusive language against Indian batsmen Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.

Sahibzada Farhan celebrated his half-century by gesturing with his bat as if firing a machine gun. On social media, this was termed ‘aggressive and provocative’. The BCCI states that both players have committed seriously objectionable acts, going against the spirit of the game. If the accusations are proven under the ICC Code of Conduct, they could face heavy fines, match bans, or both penalties.

PCB's Counter-Complaint: Against Suryakumar Yadav

On the other hand, the PCB has also filed a complaint with the ICC against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. The PCB alleges that after securing a victory against Pakistan on September 14, Suryakumar stated that his win was dedicated to the Indian army and the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The Pakistani board claims that this statement amounts to bringing politics into cricket.

However, experts believe it remains to be seen whether PCB's complaint was filed within the stipulated timeframe. If the complaint was delayed, the ICC might dismiss it.
