Today's Weather: Today's weather shows varied impacts across several states. Delhi-NCR is experiencing pleasant weather, providing relief from the heat. Delhi's temperature remains between 25-35 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of light rain. The next two days are expected to offer continued relief from the heat in Delhi, although temperatures may rise again afterward.

Heatwave Threat in Eastern India

The threat of a heatwave is increasing in eastern Indian states. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a heavy rainfall warning has been issued for the Northeast and some other areas between May 11-13. A heatwave is anticipated in parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh. Maximum temperatures in these regions could reach 40 degrees Celsius. Bihar and Odisha will experience the heatwave's effects for the next few days.

Hailstorm Alert in Uttarakhand

An alert for rain and hailstorms has been issued for the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand on Saturday. Sudden weather changes could lead to temperature fluctuations. Snowfall and rain with thunderstorms are expected in mountainous areas. Plain areas are experiencing intense sunshine, but some relief is anticipated in the evenings.

Temperature Rise in Rajasthan from May 13

Temperatures in Rajasthan are expected to rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius after May 12-13. Light to moderate rain has occurred in many parts of the state due to the influence of a western disturbance. 43 mm of rainfall was recorded in Nimbahera, Chittorgarh. However, temperatures are likely to increase after May 13, leading to a rise in heat.

Heatwave Likely in West Bengal

A heatwave is anticipated in several districts of South Bengal until May 12. Maximum temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius are expected in districts such as West Burdwan, Birbhum, Purulia, and Bankura. Parts of North Bengal may also experience the effects of the heatwave.

Rising Temperatures with Windstorms and Rain

Weather in Uttar Pradesh will clear after May 11, but temperatures are expected to increase by 4-6 degrees in the coming days. The heatwave's impact may increase in several areas of UP, while other parts may experience light rain.

Early Arrival of Southwest Monsoon

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also provided important information regarding the southwest monsoon. The monsoon is expected to reach Kerala by May 27, which is earlier than usual. If the monsoon arrives this early, it will be the earliest arrival since 2009.
