Chaos on the platform led to the deaths of 18 people. Furthermore, 11 people died in a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium during celebrations of RCB’s IPL victory in Bengaluru, making it clear that security remains a major challenge at large events.

The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22nd, was one of the most painful events of the year. Terrorists opened fire on tourists in the Baisaran Valley, asking their religion, killing 26 people. This attack was a direct assault not only on humanity but also on the country’s internal security.

The Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12th proved to be the most devastating tragedy of the year. The plane crashed just seconds after takeoff, killing 241 passengers. Including people on the ground, the total death toll exceeded 270. This is considered the largest accident in the history of Indian aviation.
At the end of the year, a car bombing near the Red Fort in Delhi raised serious questions about the capital’s security arrangements. The explosion resulted in the confirmed deaths of 15 people and injuries to over 30. The investigation revealed indications of an organized network, after which the matter became even more serious.
