Sectors Expecting Highest Purchases

Groceries, appliances, and personal care products are expected to see the highest sales during the festive season. Despite this, these categories are projected to contribute over half of the total festive sales.

The festive season in India is the year's biggest consumption period, accounting for approximately 30-40% of annual sales in apparel, electronics, and home goods. The early onset of monsoon and flooding had impacted summer sales. The festive season has already begun with Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi and will conclude with Diwali in October. Consumer trends in urban India saw a positive shift in July after three years.
