Fake Police Officer with Weapons and Fake IDs Arrested in Rajasthan

Dholpur police arrested fake police officer Supriyo Mukherjee during a blockade. Weapons, air guns, laptops, mobiles, and 4 fake IDs recovered from the vehicle. The accused had been arrested three times before.

Dholpur: Dholpur police in Rajasthan have arrested a fake police officer during a blockade. The accused, Supriyo Mukherjee, who used to create fear among people by wearing a police uniform and affixing a blue beacon and stars on his vehicle, is now in police custody. A large quantity of weapons, air guns, laptops, mobiles, and several fake ID cards have been recovered from his possession.

Dholpur police stated that this individual had previously been arrested three times for similar incidents. Following his fourth arrest, serious legal action has been initiated in this matter. The police have registered the case and intensified the ongoing investigation.

Fake Police Officer Arrested in Dholpur

The arrested accused, Supriyo Mukherjee, aged 45, is a resident of Chandan Nagar, District Hooghly (West Bengal). He came under the sharp radar of the Sadar police station during a blockade. His vehicle (Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, WB 16 BJ 6409) was found to have a blue beacon and symbols of three stars affixed.

Dholpur CO Munesh Meena stated that the accused identified himself as a Home Guard officer. However, the fake ID cards he possessed deepened the police's suspicion. After immediate questioning, the accused was arrested.

Weapons and Fake ID Cards Recovered

Police recovered several items from the accused's vehicle, including:

  • Air sound pistol, air revolver, and air gun
  • 2 air rifles and 138 pellet cartridges
  • 2 mobile phones, 2 laptops, and 1 tablet

Four fake ID cards, bearing the names International Police Organisation, Europolice Federation, European Auxiliary Police Association, and Centre of National Security. Officials stated that the accused used these weapons and fake identity cards to evade toll tax and police checking, and to instill fear in people.

Case Registered Against Fake Police Officer

Dholpur police informed that Supriyo Mukherjee had been apprehended three times previously for similar incidents. Now, following his fourth arrest, a case has been registered against the accused for impersonating a police officer, illegal possession of weapons, and threatening people.

CO Munesh Meena said, 'The action during the blockade was carried out with vigilance, and the process of justice has begun after apprehending the fake police officer. This action is also significant in preventing other potential crimes and sending a message of security to the general public.'
