Indore: In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a doctor allegedly hired hitmen to kill his own brother over a 19-bigha land dispute inherited from their father. Following this 10 lakh rupee contract, the accused assailants arrived in the village in a Thar SUV and attempted to run over the brother. However, Sandeep Sharma remained safe, and the accused were apprehended due to the vigilance of the villagers. Police have arrested six individuals in connection with this case.
10 Lakh Contract Paid for Brother's Murder
Dr. Deepak Sharma, a resident of Galaxy Apartment in Indore, planned to kill his brother Sandeep Sharma. It is alleged that he wanted to harm his brother due to a dispute over their father's property. The doctor paid two local youths, Tanish Randhawa and Rohit Rathore, 10 lakh rupees as a contract and entrusted them with the task of murder.
The two contract killers, along with four other associates—DJ operator Chetan, Shubham, Aditya, and Rahul—reached Katkoot in the Balwada police station area. They also rented a Thar car to make the murder appear like an accident. The accused's objective was to kill Sandeep Sharma and his associates in what would look like a road accident.
Full Account of the Attack on Sandeep Sharma
On the morning of September 29, Sandeep Sharma was returning from a medical store. During this time, the accused chased him and forcefully collided with his bike. Due to this collision, Sandeep fell approximately 12 feet down into a ditch beside the road. However, Sandeep, using his quick wit, managed to escape through the fields and secure himself.
The accused continued their pursuit, but villagers blocked their path by parking vehicles on the road to help Sandeep. During this, the accused's vehicle lost control and got stuck in a sand dune. Villagers apprehended three of the accused on the spot, while the others were later arrested by the police.
Identification and Arrest of the Accused
After interrogating the accused, the police revealed that Dr. Deepak Sharma had conspired to kill his brother because Sandeep wanted to inherit their father's 19-bigha land. The doctor feared that Sandeep had already registered the land in his name.
The arrested accused include Tanish Randhawa, Rohit Rathore, Chetan, Shubham, Aditya, and Rahul. Police stated that Dr. Deepak Sharma is currently absconding and a search is underway for him. The arrested contract killers revealed that the doctor had provided money and instructions for the entire plan.
