Jaipur: In the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, the police have apprehended a fake DSP who had been extorting money from people through fraud and intimidation for a long time. The accused, Chandraprakash Soni, had instilled fear in ordinary citizens by wearing a police uniform and driving a car fitted with a beacon, extorting money from them. The police have arrested the accused and seized his uniform and vehicle. A video of this arrest is rapidly going viral on social media.

Extortion carried out while wearing a fake police uniform

According to information, Chandraprakash Soni spread fear among people by posing as a Deputy Superintendent of CID. He used to roam around Jaipur and surrounding areas in a police uniform and attempt to apprehend individuals or extort money illegally. Local residents have stated that on several occasions, they paid money without question out of fear of this fake DSP.

The accused used a car with a beacon and a police uniform to intimidate others. This fraudulent activity continued for several months. People did not even suspect that he was not a genuine DSP. Due to his intimidation and threats, many individuals also faced disruptions in their daily work.

Fake DSP Arrested

Following information about the fake DSP, the police station Jaisinghpura Khor launched a special operation. DCP North, Karan Sharma, stated that continuous action is being taken against fake police officers and fraudsters. Several fake police personnel have been arrested in this operation previously.

As part of this operation, the police increased surveillance in the area to apprehend Chandraprakash. After his capture, his uniform, the car with the beacon, and other documents were seized. The police have stated that an investigation is now underway to determine how many people he defrauded and how much money he extorted illegally.
