JAUNPUR: In the Mari Mai Bagia area, under the Chandwak police station in Jaunpur district, the body of a young man was found hanging by a saree on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Dharmendra alias Golu, son of Ramjeet Navik. Dharmendra had married Preeti, daughter of Sawarchand of Gaurabadshahpur, two years ago.
The deceased's mother, Laldei, has alleged that ever since the marriage, her in-laws, in collusion with his wife Preeti, used to harass him. On Tuesday night, there was also an argument with Preeti, after which Dharmendra left the house. The next morning, his body was found hanging in the garden.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and have launched an investigation into the matter. Station House Officer Satyaprakash Singh stated that the situation would only become clear after the Call Detail Record (CDR) and post-mortem report are available.
