JDU has released its first list for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. This list includes 57 candidates. Key candidates have been fielded on strategic seats like Alamnagar, Madhepura, Maharajganj, and Mokama.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025: The Janata Dal (United) (JDU) has released its first list of candidates for the Bihar elections. This list includes a total of 57 candidates. Through this list, the party has initiated its election preparations. The first list features the names of key party candidates from various constituencies.

In this list, Narendra Narayan Yadav has been declared the JDU candidate from Alamnagar assembly seat, Kavita Saha from Madhepura, Hem Narayan Sah from Maharajganj, and Anant Singh from Mokama. These names are considered important for the party as these regions are strategically crucial for it.

Seat Sharing in NDA 

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar had already announced its seat-sharing arrangement. According to this announcement, BJP and JDU have been allocated 101 seats each. Additionally, Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has been given 29 seats, while Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha have been allotted 6 seats each.

Thus, JDU is playing a significant role within the NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections. The party's strategy and the first list of candidates indicate that JDU has prepared to establish its electoral hold in new areas in addition to its traditional bholds.

Key Candidates and Their Constituencies

Bihar Assembly Election Process

The current term of the Bihar Legislative Assembly concludes on November 22, 2025. This time, the assembly elections will be conducted in two phases. The first phase of polling will be on November 6, and the second phase on November 11. Subsequently, the election results will be declared on November 14.

The objective of conducting elections in two phases is to ensure a safe and organized voting process. Furthermore, the Election Commission has ensured that polling stations have adequate security and arrangements so that all voters can cast their ballots peacefully.
