In Kaushambi, a woman kidnapped her own son and demanded ransom from his maternal grandfather. The police timely uncovered the case and safely handed the child over to his family, while the woman was arrested.

Kaushambi: A shocking case has emerged from the Mohabbatpur Painsa police station area in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district, where a mother staged a fake kidnapping of her own 10-year-old son to demand ransom from his maternal grandfather. After investigation, the police safely rescued the child and arrested the mother. This incident was surprising even for local villagers and officials.

SP Kaushambi, Rajesh Kumar, stated that a woman named Shaheen locked her son, Arshlal, inside the house and sent a threatening letter to his maternal grandfather, Shams Uddin, demanding one lakh rupees. Panic ensued in the family after receiving the letter, and the police were immediately informed.

Report of Child's Disappearance

On Tuesday, the woman, Shaheen, filed a report at Mohabbatpur Painsa police station, stating that her son was missing. She accused unknown individuals of kidnapping. However, the next day, the child's maternal grandfather showed the ransom letter to the police. Following this, Inspector Roshan Lal of Painsa Kotwali initiated a search operation across the entire area.

The police began investigating nearby houses and routes and also questioned villagers. Due to their vigilant efforts, the truth of the matter came to light, making it clear that it was not a case of kidnapping, but a false drama staged by the mother.

Child Found Safe Inside the House

During the search operation, the police heard the child's voice from inside the same house. When the door was forced open, Arshlal was found completely safe. In police questioning, the child clearly stated that his mother had locked him in the room and told him that she needed to collect money from his maternal grandfather. The child mentioned that he was not allowed to go outside.

Following this revelation, the woman, Shaheen, was arrested. The police immediately handed the child over to his family. Police officials stated that legal action is being taken against the woman on charges of kidnapping and demanding ransom.

Villagers' Reaction to Mother's Conspiracy

This case crosses the boundaries of familial relationships. Local villagers expressed surprise at the incident and said that it serves as a warning sign for society. Police officials also stated that it is crucial to raise awareness to prevent such incidents within families.

SP Rajesh Kumar stated that Shaheen's sole motive was to extort money, and strict legal action will now be taken against her. He appealed to the public to remain vigilant about their family's safety and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
