At Jhalimpura School in Kota, a PTI included a relative in the Kabbadi team without her playing and sent her to a state-level competition. Education Minister Madan Dilawar took action, ordering the PTI to be placed under APO (Awaiting Posting Orders) status and suspending the Village Development Officer.
Kota: A serious incident has come to light at Jhalimpura School in Rajasthan's Kota district, where the school's Physical Training Instructor (PTI), Surendra Meena, included his wife's sister, Anuradha Meena, in the Kabbadi team without her demonstrating any athletic ability. The matter surfaced during Education Minister Madan Dilawar's inspection tour.
Minister Dilawar immediately took action, placing the PTI under APO status and ordering the suspension of the concerned Bisalai Village Development Officer. The minister also issued a directive for the investigation report to be submitted within four days.
Minister inspected the school
On Thursday, Minister Dilawar was visiting schools and villages in the Sultanpur area. At Jhalimpura School, he gathered information from students and villagers.
Villagers reported that in August, the PTI arranged for his relative's selection for the state-level Kabbadi competition, even though she had never played at the school. The minister also sought information from the students about the sport and the selection process. Considering the matter serious, he immediately initiated APO and suspension actions.
Minister ordered an investigation in the school
The minister instructed Roop Singh, Joint Director of the Education Department, to immediately place the PTI under APO status. He stated that suspension action would be taken if the PTI is found guilty during the investigation.
Additionally, the minister directed that a teacher and an LDC (Lower Division Clerk) posted at Jhalimpura School on deputation be relieved and instructed to take charge of their duties at the school. This step was taken to ensure transparency and accountability in the education system.
Panchayats and Development Officers rebuked
During his inspection, Minister Dilawar assessed the cleanliness and education systems in Digod, Dungarjya, Nimoda, Morpa, Bisalai, Kishorpura, and Jhalimpura Panchayats. Upon observing dirt on roads and in drains, he rebuked the concerned Village Development Officers and Sarpanchs and ordered immediate cleaning.
The minister stated that negligence in cleanliness and education systems in Panchayats would not be tolerated. It is the responsibility of Development Officers and employees to ensure a better environment for children and villagers.
