Senior Officers Arrive at the Operation Site
The Chief of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Nalin Prabhat, himself reached the spot and reviewed the situation. He was accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police Kashmir VK Birdi and other senior officers. Meanwhile, Northern Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, reviewed the security arrangements and counter-terrorism operations in South Kashmir. He praised the soldiers, saying that their dedication is helping to maintain stability and peace in the region.
Search Operation with the Help of Drones and Helicopters
According to officials, security forces had received specific information about the presence of terrorists in the Akhal forest area of South Kashmir. Based on this, the operation was started. During the search, the terrorists started firing. In response to the firing, the army took charge and made the operation aggressive. Drones, helicopters, and modern technology are being used to search for the terrorists.
Seven Soldiers Injured So Far
A total of seven soldiers have been injured in this operation, which has been going on for seven days. Three soldiers sustained injuries in the encounter on Thursday morning. All the injured are being treated. Given the sensitivity of the operation, additional soldiers have been deployed on the spot and the cordon has been further strengthened.
Two Terrorists Killed, Identification Pending
In the encounter that started again on Saturday, two terrorists were killed. It is not yet clear which organization they belonged to. Weapons and other materials have been recovered from them, which have been sent for investigation. Officials believe that this area had become a safe haven for terrorists, which is now being completely cleared.

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma praised the courage and patience of the soldiers on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He wrote that the integrity and commitment of the soldiers are strengthening peace and security in the region. Longest Operation of This Year in the Valley
This operation has become the longest counter-terrorism operation in the Kashmir Valley this year. Despite the difficult geographical conditions, the strategy and perseverance of the security forces have made this operation particularly successful and important.
