Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati congratulated the party’s winning candidates, office-bearers and workers after the Rajasthan local body election results were announced on September 14, 2026. According to figures released by the State Election Commission, Rajasthan, BJP candidates won the highest number of seats in the local body elections, securing 4,179 seats.
Congress candidates won 3,613 seats, while independent candidates won 2,273 seats.
Among other parties, the Aam Aadmi Party won 42 seats, the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) won 8 seats, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), won 38 seats, and the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) won 63 seats.
The BSP won 19 seats. The NPP did not win any seat and remained at zero.

BJP recorded the highest number of wins, followed by Congress. Independent candidates also won a large number of seats.
After BJP emerged as the party with the highest number of seats in the local body elections, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma thanked the people and party workers for the victory.
In a post on social media platform X, Sharma thanked the people of Rajasthan for BJP’s victory in the municipal elections and congratulated party workers.
Bhajanlal Sharma linked the BJP’s victory with public confidence in its development-oriented approach, commitment to good governance and resolve to serve the people.
Mayawati’s allegations regarding the counting process and government machinery have become an issue in the political discussion surrounding the election results.
