Ayodhya: Preparation for the special attire to be worn by Lord Ramlala for the upcoming Flag Hoisting and Vivah Panchami festivals has been completed. This grand outfit has been prepared from Pitambari silk, featuring artistry with gold threads. It took a full year to prepare the attire.
According to sources, this special garment was woven at the world-renowned Dharmavaram handloom center in Andhra Pradesh, South India. Subsequently, it was sent to Delhi where intricate embroidery and final embellishment work was completed. This design was created by the renowned designer Manish Tiwari from Ambedkar Nagar.
Keeping the cold weather in mind, a yellow Pashmina shawl has also been prepared for Ramlala. Additionally, Pashmina shawls in different colors have been made for other deities installed in the temple complex — Mother Sita, Bharat, Lakshman, Shatrughna, etc.
This attire will be specially worn by Ramlala on two main occasions — Flag Hoisting and Vivah Panchami. During the event, the temple complex will be specially decorated, and the idols of deities will be adorned with outfits befitting the festival.
Local devotees and officials associated with the Ram temple state that this outfit is not only a symbol of spirituality and tradition, but also represents a connection with the silk industry and weaver craftsmanship from various parts of the country.
