Lucknow Circle Rates Set to Rise After a Decade, Effective August 1st

Lucknow is set to witness a significant change in circle rates after nearly a decade. The new circle rates will be implemented in the capital from August 1st, making the purchase of land and houses more expensive than before. The district administration's preparations for this are in the final stages. Prior to implementing the new rates, the administration received a total of 49 objections and suggestions, most of which expressed concerns about the multi-fold increase in rates in residential colonies.

Important Meeting to be Held at the Collectorate

According to the draft issued by the administration, a 25 to 50 percent increase is proposed in the rates of agricultural, residential, and commercial land, as well as apartments. Furthermore, a more than twofold increase in the circle rate is proposed in residential colonies where commercial activities are also underway. An important meeting will be held at the District Collectorate regarding these proposed rates, which will be chaired by Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Rakesh Kumar Singh. All 49 objections and suggestions will be discussed in detail between July 18th and 27th during the meeting, and solutions will be sought.

Change After 10 Years

This change in circle rates in Lucknow is being carried out after almost ten years. While the implementation of the new rates will require the general public to spend more money on buying homes, it is also expected to provide farmers with better prices for their land. In addition, it will also increase the revenue of the revenue department, which will lead to an increase in the government's income.

The administration had sought objections and suggestions on these revised rates until July 17th. Now, after considering these, the new rates will be implemented from August 1st.
