Lucknow: Vrindavan's ascetic, Premanand Maharaj, is in a critical health condition these days. Devotees across the country are concerned about his health. Amidst this, members of the Muslim community in Lucknow offered a 'chadar' at the Dada Miyan Dargah and prayed for his good health. This event became a symbol of communal harmony and mutual brotherhood.
Samajwadi Party workers and members of the Muslim community gathered at the dargah, holding a picture of Premanand Maharaj in their hands, and prayed for his recovery. During this, they also conveyed the message that saints and ascetics are invaluable to society and their thoughts unite humanity.
SP Leader Akhlaq Prays for Premanand Maharaj
On this occasion, SP leader Mohammad Akhlaq was also present. He stated that Premanand Maharaj always works to unite society and spread the message of humanity. Akhlaq said, "Who is Hindu, who is Muslim? You read my Gita, I will read your Quran. Such people are a blessing from God."
He further added that ever since they received news of Maharaj's ill health, society and his devotees have been continuously praying for his swift recovery so that he may bless his followers. The 'chadar' offered at the dargah and the prayers recited during this event also presented a message of Hindu-Muslim unity.
Premanand Maharaj's Critical Health Condition
According to information, both of Premanand Maharaj's kidneys are failing, and he requires regular dialysis to maintain his health. Reports suggest that he undergoes dialysis five times a week. His critical health condition has greatly distressed his devotees both in India and abroad.
Premanand Maharaj recently postponed his nightly spiritual walk (padyatra), which further increased the concern among his followers. Due to his health condition, continuous prayers and worship are being conducted across the country.
