New Record in Production
In September 2025, a total of 5,959 units of BE 6 and XUV 9e were manufactured at Mahindra's Chakan plant, which is 21 percent higher than August 2025 (4,921 units). This marks the first time the monthly production of these two electric SUVs exceeded 5,000 units. During this period, these two e-SUVs contributed 10 percent to Mahindra's total SUV production of 57,150 units. This figure is also the highest to date and 24 percent higher than September 2024 (46,152 units) of the previous year. In total, these two models produced 35,085 units in nine months.
Excellent Performance in Domestic Sales
Between January and September 2025, a total of 31,262 units of BE 6 and XUV 9e were dispatched to dealers. During this period, Mahindra recorded total SUV sales of 4,46,697 units, which is 16 percent higher than the previous year. In September 2025 alone, 4,320 units were dispatched, marking the largest monthly sale to date. Furthermore, this is the fourth consecutive month that dispatches of these two e-SUVs have exceeded 4,000 units.
Mahindra's popular SUVs, Scorpio and Thar, also broke their respective all-time monthly sales records. Thus, the month of September was outstanding for the company from every perspective.
Growth in Exports as well
Mahindra's BE 6 and XUV 9e have strengthened their presence not only in the domestic market but also internationally. In September 2025, 210 units of these two models were exported, which is the highest monthly export figure to date. A total of 217 units have been sent abroad thus far. This figure includes 1 unit in March, 3 units in May, and 1 unit each in June, July, and August.
It is particularly interesting to note that this is the first time the BE 6 and XUV 9e have recorded high performance across all three areas: production, sales, and exports. This has directly impacted the strength of Mahindra's electric SUV portfolio.
