Man Kills Sister-in-Law and Nieces to Silence Witness in Uttar Pradesh

In Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, Anirudh Kumar, released on bail in connection with his brother's murder, abducted and killed his widowed sister-in-law, Suman, and her three daughters. Police have arrested the accused, while his accomplice remains at large. The motive behind the crime is believed to be compelling Suman to change her testimony.

Baharich murder case: In the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, Anirudh Kumar, who was out on bail in connection with his brother's murder, abducted his sister-in-law Suman (36) and her three daughters (6, 3, and 12 years old) on August 14th and murdered them by taking them to the Sharda River in the Khamharia area of ​​Mihirpurwa. Suman was the main witness in her husband's murder case, and the accused wanted her to change her testimony. Anirudh's accomplice is still absconding, and the police are searching for him.

Accused involved in the murder identified

Anirudh Kumar was in jail in connection with the murder of his brother, Santosh Kumar, in 2018. After getting bail, he tried to force himself on Suman and her daughters. Suman's daughters include six-year-old Anshika, three-year-old Lado, and 12-year-old Nandini.

Police said that Suman had recently come to her parents' house with her three daughters. On August 19, Suman's mother, Rampata, filed a complaint with the police that her daughter and three daughters had been missing since August 14.

Anirudh confessed to the crime, accomplice absconding

During the police investigation, Anirudh confessed that he, along with his accomplice, called Suman and the three girls to Mihirpurwa town on August 14 and later pushed them into the river from the bridge built on the Sharda River in the Khamharia area of ​​Lakhimpur Kheri district.

The SSP said that clothes belonging to Suman and the girls, a girl's shoe, and a motorcycle used in the crime have been recovered from the bushes near the scene. However, the bodies have not yet been found. Anirudh's accomplice is absconding, and the police are searching for him.

Threat to change testimony

Police officers said that Anirudh was asking Suman to obey him and change her testimony in the brother's murder case. Suman rejected this, due to which Anirudh planned the murder.

The SSP also said that this incident is spreading fear and sensation in the local community, and the police are taking all possible action considering the seriousness of the matter.
