A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A young man brutally murdered his girlfriend by stabbing her in front of her daughter. The incident occurred late Monday night in the Balloch Tola locality of the Nagar Kotwali area. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Shakimun Nisha, whose husband Shahabuddin had passed away four years ago.
According to the police, the accused youth is named Rustam, a painter by profession, who lived in a rented house in the neighborhood. He wanted to marry Shakimun, but the woman was not ready for it. At the time of the incident, Shakimun was sitting on a chair inside the house. Rustam arrived there, first attacked her daughter Reshma, then stabbed Shakimun in the stomach and fled from the scene.
Woman was troubled by the accused's threats
Reshma said that Rustam, a resident of Azamgarh, had a violent nature. His wife and children had left him. The people living in the locality were also troubled by his actions. Many local people were present in the street at the time of the incident, but no one intervened. Reshma informed her brother Javed about the incident, who immediately informed the police.
The police, who arrived at the scene, took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. A blood-stained knife (the murder weapon) was also recovered a short distance from the crime scene. The forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence. The police have registered a murder case based on the complaint of the woman's son and teams have been formed to search for the accused.
Police claim – Arrest will be made soon
In this case, CO City Devesh Singh said that in the initial investigation, it has come to light that the deceased and Rustam were living together like husband and wife. The murder was carried out due to a mutual dispute. He said that the accused has been identified and will be arrested soon.
