Delhi: The Delhi government has initiated a new and ambitious scheme aimed at promoting the rich cultural and historical heritage of the capital. Under this scheme, the "Tourism and Heritage Fellowship Program" has been launched, through which young people will be connected to tourism projects. Selected youth in this program will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,000.

What is the Tourism and Heritage Fellowship Program?

This program, run by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), aims to provide young people with practical experience in the field of tourism and connect them directly to Delhi's cultural heritage. This scheme is an opportunity for youth, researchers, and professionals interested in tourism to participate in tourism activities and contribute to the development of tourism in the capital.

Opportunity for 40 Youth Every Year

Under this fellowship program, a total of 40 youths will be selected every year. These fellows will be involved in various tasks related to tourism and cultural activities in Delhi. These include heritage walks, guided tours, digital content creation, promotion, program management, operation of tourism centers, film shooting coordination, and other activities.

Who can apply?

1. Age Limit: The applicant should not be more than 35 years of age.

2. Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required is a graduate degree or equivalent. Preference will be given to an applicant who has a degree in tourism or a postgraduate degree.

3. Experience: The applicant must have at least one year of formal experience in tourism or a related field. This experience will prove useful to them during the implementation of projects.

4. Language and Digital Proficiency: Proficiency in Hindi and English is mandatory. In addition, the applicant must also possess digital skills so that they can effectively complete tasks such as promotion, content creation, and technical coordination.
