Manoj Jha Questions PM Modi's Silence on Trump's 'Operation Sindoor' Claims

RJD MP Manoj Jha questioned PM Modi on why he isn't openly addressing Trump's claims about Operation Sindoor. Trump is taking credit for the ceasefire, but the PM hasn't explicitly named anyone.

RJD MP Manoj Jha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently clarified in his Lok Sabha address that no world leader requested India to halt "Operation Sindoor," which was launched against Pakistan. On the other hand, former US President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that he played a significant role in the India-Pakistan ceasefire. Amidst this contradiction, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha has questioned why Prime Minister Modi did not mention Trump in his speech.

Manoj Jha Expresses Displeasure at Prime Minister's Ambiguity

Speaking to the media about the Prime Minister's speech, RJD MP Manoj Jha said it was shocking that the Prime Minister was making such an important statement without naming any country or leader. He said, "Why is the Prime Minister speaking in such ambiguous terms? If Trump is repeatedly saying that he brokered a ceasefire, then Modi ji should explicitly address this. What is happening? Why is Trump making this claim? And why doesn't the Prime Minister name him?"

Operation Sindoor: India's Decisive Military Action

Prime Minister Modi stated in his address to the Lok Sabha that India initiated "Operation Sindoor" on the morning of May 7th, which was part of precise and planned attacks on Pakistani terrorist hideouts following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Under this military operation, terrorist infrastructure located within Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POJK) and Pakistan was targeted.

Mention of the US Vice President's Call

Prime Minister Modi also mentioned that on the night of May 9th, the US Vice President tried to contact him, but he was busy in a meeting with senior army officers at the time. He later called the Vice President back. During that conversation, the US Vice President stated that Pakistan was preparing for a major attack. To this, Prime Minister Modi clearly responded that if Pakistan attacks, India would retaliate with an even bigger attack.

Trump's Claims and Indian Position

During his tenure, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that he played a key role in reducing tensions between India and Pakistan. However, Prime Minister Modi, in his recent statement, denied any such external intervention. He also stated that India's policy is clear today: if anyone attacks, they will definitely be answered, and decisively so.

PM Modi said that now terrorists and their patrons know that India will strike back. He said that this is a new India that has adopted the strategy of 'Sindoor to Sindhu,' in which there will be no hesitation in giving a befitting and concrete response to terrorist attacks.
