Matt Hardy Set for Ring Return, Eyes WWE and NXT Tag Team Titles with Brother Jeff

Veteran wrestler Matt Hardy is preparing to step back into the ring after a long hiatus. The 50-year-old Matt Hardy, who has been away from wrestling for over five months, is now fully ready for his return.

Sports News: Big news for WWE fans! Wrestling legends Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff Hardy, known to the world as the Hardy Boyz, are set to return to the ring soon. 50-year-old Matt Hardy and 47-year-old Jeff Hardy have made it clear that they want to put their full strength into winning championship gold in WWE and NXT.

Returning After Five Months, Desire to Win Titles

Matt Hardy has been away from the ring for the past five months, but he has now made it clear that his goal is to win the WWE Tag Team Title and the NXT Tag Team Championship. Both brothers are still actively involved in the wrestling industry with full energy and believe that their legacy is still incomplete. In a recent interview with FOX 9, Matt Hardy said: "When we talk about titles and establishing our legacy as one of the greatest tag teams, I think it would be fantastic, with the partnership between TNA and WWE, to see us win the WWE Tag Team Titles again. Also, the NXT Tag Team Championship is on our list."

He recalled that in March during the NXT Roadblock event, he and Jeff defeated the current champions, Nathan Frazer and Axiom. However, that match was for the TNA Tag Titles, so they didn't get a chance to win NXT gold. Matt clearly stated, "We would also love to get a shot at those NXT Titles."

Unique Record in Wrestling

The Hardy Boyz name is etched in gold in wrestling history. They are the only tag team to have won the WWE World Tag Team Title, WCW Tag Team Title, TNA World Tag Team Title, ROH World Tag Team Title, as well as the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles. This record is considered almost impossible to break, and that is why the Hardy Boyz are placed in the category of wrestling legends.

Matt and Jeff Hardy have made it clear that they want to finish their careers in WWE. Even though they are currently actively wrestling for TNA and also appear on NXT programming due to the partnership with WWE, their ultimate goal is to become champions one last time in WWE. Matt Hardy also acknowledged that despite his aging, his fitness and performance still keep him ready for big matches. Both brothers believe that if WWE gives them another chance, they can further strengthen their legacy.
