New Delhi: Marking the completion of 11 years of the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, BJP President J.P. Nadda held a press conference outlining the government's key achievements. The revocation of Article 370, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, surgical strikes in response to Pulwama and Uri attacks, major projects like the Chenab Bridge, and the digital transformation were highlighted. He emphasized the government's courageous response to every crisis and challenge.

11 Years of Progress: The Modi Government's Direction

On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the Bharatiya Janata Party's central government, party president J.P. Nadda lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in a press conference held at the party headquarters in Delhi. He stated, "We have proceeded with the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, Efforts of all), and this mantra has been the foundation of our development."

J.P. Nadda mentioned several significant achievements, illustrating how the Modi government has made the impossible possible. He highlighted that there was a prevailing belief that revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was impossible, but Prime Minister Modi changed this perception and took this historic decision.

Revocation of Article 370: A Historic Step

J.P. Nadda explained that the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was a decision no one had dared to take before. However, the decisive thinking of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah made it possible. He stated that this strengthened the nation's unity and integrity. Following this decision, the process of democracy and development has gained momentum in Jammu and Kashmir. He cited the 63% voter turnout in the assembly elections as evidence of the success of the Modi government's policies.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: A New Chapter in Health and Sanitation

J.P. Nadda explained that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was not limited to toilet construction but also empowered the nation's health system. Awareness regarding sanitation has increased in both rural and urban areas, helping control several diseases.

He stated, "Cleanliness is directly related to health. Only when we are healthy will the nation progress." This campaign resulted in the construction of millions of toilets, significantly reducing open defecation.

Chenab Bridge: Commitment to Completing Incomplete Projects

J.P. Nadda highlighted that the Chenab Bridge project, initiated in 1995, was completed and dedicated to the nation by the Modi government. It is the world's highest railway arch bridge. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared it a 'Project of National Importance,' and Prime Minister Modi dedicated it to the nation on June 6, 2025.

This bridge will strengthen connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir and boost tourism and trade. It exemplifies the Modi government's commitment to not only launching new projects but also completing pending ones.

Surgical and Air Strikes

J.P. Nadda mentioned the incidents in Uri, Pulwama, and the recent events in Pehalgam, stating that Prime Minister Modi always responded decisively.

He said, "After the Uri incident, PM Modi stated that a response would be given, and subsequently, surgical strikes were conducted. Following Pulwama, the Balakot air strike was carried out, and recently, under Operation Sindhur, 9 terrorist camps were destroyed."

Impact of Digital India and JAM Trinity

J.P. Nadda highlighted the revolutionary changes brought about by the Modi government in the technology sector. He stated that the JAM Trinity (Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, Mobile) has laid the foundation for transparency and good governance in the country.

He said, "Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), benefits have been sent directly to people's accounts, preventing leakage of ₹3.9 lakh crore." DBT transactions have increased 130 times, reflecting the government's digitally empowered administrative system.
