Mohan Bhagwat Highlights Dharma as Path to Peace, Cites 'Chhava' for Societal Unity

Mohan Bhagwat, at the inauguration of the Dharma Jagran Nyas office in Nagpur, described Dharma as the path to peace and emphasized the importance of commitment to Dharma for societal unity, citing the film 'Chhava' as an example.

Mohan Bhagwat: Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), shared profound thoughts on Dharma, society, and peace at the inauguration of the new office of Dharma Jagran Nyas in Nagpur. On this occasion, he mentioned the Marathi film 'Chhava,' explaining how devotion to Dharma and responsibility serve to unite society.

Dharma Described as Truth and Sacred Duty

Bhagwat began his address by stating that Dharma is not limited to rituals or worship but is a truth that guides life. He said, "Dharma is a sacred duty. When we follow Dharma responsibly, peace, tolerance, and harmony automatically develop in society." He emphasized that in times of crisis, Dharma provides courage, self-confidence, and the direction for correct decisions. This is why following Dharma becomes essential for maintaining stability and balance in society.

Inspiration from 'Chhava,' Sacrifice of Sambhaji Maharaj as an Example

In his speech, Mohan Bhagwat specifically mentioned the Marathi film 'Chhava,' based on the life and struggles of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He said that this film made it clear that commitment to Dharma was not limited to kings or military leaders, but ordinary citizens also sacrificed with the same steadfastness for Dharma. He said, "Chhava is not just a historical film but also an ideological message. When we take inspiration from such characters, our resolve becomes equally b. One who remains steadfast on the path of Dharma does not lose to any challenge."

Hinduism Teaches the Lesson of Unity in Diversity

Bhagwat clearly stated that the world today needs the kind of Dharma that can establish harmony amidst diversity. He explained that Hinduism not only accepts diversity but also finds belonging within it. He said, "We may be different in language, caste, dress, or tradition, but Dharma connects us. Diversity is the characteristic of our society, not a weakness. Dharma teaches that we may look different, but we are one."

Society Should Not Stray from Dharma; This is Everyone's Responsibility

Mohan Bhagwat also said that it is the responsibility of every individual in society, not just the government or institutions, to not stray from the path of Dharma. He said that if individuals act according to Dharma, there will be no crimes, no conflicts, and no place for hatred in society. He further said, "If every person decides to keep Dharma at the center of their life, there will be no need for any law. Dharma itself will control life."

National Dialogue Series to be Held in Delhi

During the event, Bhagwat shared another significant piece of information — a three-day national dialogue will be organized in Delhi on August 26, 27, and 28 as part of the launch of the RSS's centenary year celebrations. The program will be titled '100 Years of Sangh Journey – New Horizons'. Mohan Bhagwat himself will be the keynote speaker at this dialogue program. Through this event, the Sangh will attempt to connect with all sections of society, especially youth and intellectuals. This will be a major outreach program, in which opposition parties are also likely to be invited.

Major Message Before the Centenary Year

The RSS is completing 100 years of its establishment on the occasion of Vijayadashami this year. Bhagwat's statement was not only about the role of Dharma but also indicated that the Sangh, moving towards its centenary, will work towards new ideas and new social dialogue.
