Political rhetoric has intensified amidst the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Mukesh Sahani, the Deputy CM candidate of the Mahagathbandhan and chief of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), has launched a sharp attack on the NDA.
Patna: The political atmosphere has completely heated up amidst the Bihar Elections 2025. Mukesh Sahani, founder of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and Mahagathbandhan's Deputy Chief Minister candidate, has sharply criticized the NDA. He stated that the NDA has not yet announced its candidates for the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister posts, which indicates a lack of clarity within the alliance.
Sahani further added that the NDA's Sankalp Patra (manifesto) has not yet been released, while the Mahagathbandhan has clearly presented its policies and promises to the public.
Mukesh Sahani's Attack on NDA
While speaking to the media in Patna, Mukesh Sahani said that his party and the Mahagathbandhan are far ahead of the NDA in election preparations. He stated,
'We have already announced the faces for Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister through a press conference, but the NDA has not yet clarified under whose leadership the election is being contested.'
Sahani further stated that the INDIA alliance (Mahagathbandhan) has also released its Sankalp Patra (Manifesto), whereas the NDA is still lagging in that regard. He alleged that the NDA is only busy with rhetoric and is not addressing public issues with concrete actions.

Lack of Leadership in NDA, Confusion Among Public
The VIP chief stated that a clear leadership crisis is visible in the NDA this time. He said, the NDA is claiming that the elections will be contested under Nitish Kumar's face and the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will be chosen in the legislative party meeting. But all this is an attempt to mislead the public. Citing the example of Maharashtra, Sahani said,
'In Maharashtra, elections were fought under one face, but someone else was made the Chief Minister. The NDA wants to do something similar in Bihar. We do not believe in such politics. Our alliance is based on transparency and public trust.'
BJP leaders raised the question, "How can someone with 2.5% votes become Deputy CM, while someone with 18% got nothing?" Mukesh Sahani retorted, "First, tell me what bothers them? They have no problem with Muslims, but they are pained if a son of an Extremely Backward Mallah (fisherman community) becomes Deputy CM."
Accusing the BJP of engaging in caste politics, Sahani said that the BJP is trying to sow discord in society. They want to pit brother against brother. But the people of Bihar have now understood. The Muslims and backward classes of Bihar will together respond to such divisive politics.
