Bihar’s capital Patna is set to witness a major political event at the historic Gandhi Maidan, where preparations have been made for a programme linked to the expansion of the state government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in a road show in Patna shortly. The event is taking place amid preparations for a new cabinet expansion in the state and heightened political activity. The road show is also being viewed as a display of strength ahead of the formation of the new government in Bihar.
Gandhi Maidan will once again serve as the centre of a major political gathering in Patna. A programme related to the cabinet expansion of the new Bihar government will be held there, with several senior leaders expected to attend. After the road show, the Prime Minister will proceed directly to Gandhi Maidan, where formalities related to the swearing-in ceremony and cabinet expansion will take place.
Prime Minister Modi’s road show will begin from Patna Airport and pass through Harding Road, Veerchandra Patel Path, Income Tax Chauraha and Gandhi Maidan.
Security arrangements have been tightened along the entire route. A large number of people are expected to gather along the roadside during the event.
Several senior leaders are scheduled to participate in the programme, including Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Nitish Kumar, Samrat Choudhary and Nitin Navin.
Prime Minister Modi is visiting Patna after nearly six months. He had last visited the city in November during a major political programme related to government formation in Bihar.
