NEET UG 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced new dates and the seat matrix for NEET UG 2025 Round-3 counselling. Students now have the opportunity to fill and lock their seat choices until October 16, 2025. The MCC will release the Round-3 results on October 18, 2025. Successful candidates will be able to report to their allotted colleges and secure admission between October 19 and October 27.
This time, MCC has increased the number of seats for Round-3, which will allow more students to gain admission to their preferred medical and dental colleges. Students can make their seat choices according to the new seat matrix.
New Dates and Schedule for Round-3 Counselling
MCC has released the following schedule for Round-3 counselling. Students are advised to complete registration and choice filling on time to avoid any issues.
- Registration Start: September 29, 2025, 12:00 PM (noon)
- Last Date for Registration: October 09, 2025, 03:00 PM
- Choice Filling Period: September 30 to October 16, 2025, until 11:55 PM
- Choice Locking: October 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM
- Seat Processing: October 17 to 18, 2025
- Round-3 Result: October 18, 2025
- Reporting Date: October 19 to 27, 2025
According to this schedule, students can select their preferred seats and report to the college on time after the Round-3 results are declared.
Changes in Seat Matrix for Round-3 Counselling
MCC has released a new seat matrix for Round-3, which includes more seats than before. Students are advised to fill their choices according to the updated seat matrix. This update will provide better options for candidates.

How to do Choice Filling in NEET UG 2025 Round-3
The choice filling and locking process is very simple. Students can follow the steps given below.
- Log in to the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in.
- Log in to your account using your NEET UG registration number and password.
- View the list of available seats for Round-3 and select your preferred ones.
- After filling choices, ensure that all selections are correct.
- Choice locking is mandatory by October 16, 2025.
It is crucial to complete this process on time. If choice locking is not done by the deadline, students might miss out on their preferred seats.
Round-3 Result and Reporting
MCC will release the Round-3 results on October 18, 2025. Successful candidates can report to their respective colleges and secure admission between October 19 and October 27, 2025.
At the time of reporting, all students must present the required documents. These include the NEET scorecard, admit card, 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, ID proof, passport-sized photographs, and caste/domicile certificates.
Stray Round Counselling 2025
After NEET UG Round-3, a final or Stray Round counselling will be conducted. Registration for the Stray Round will be open from October 30 to November 3, 2025. During this period, students can complete choice filling and locking from November 1 to November 5, 2025.
The Stray Round results will be released on November 8, 2025. Following this, students can report to their colleges and secure admission between November 9 and November 15, 2025. The purpose of the Stray Round is to provide an opportunity for students who could not secure a seat in previous rounds or when new seats become available.

At the time of reporting, students must present the following documents. Students are advised to keep all documents ready.
- NEET Scorecard and Admit Card
- 10th and 12th Mark Sheets and Certificates
- ID Proof: Aadhaar, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport

- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
