Details of Positions
According to the notification released by NICL, a total of 266 AO positions will be filled. Some of these positions are for the generalist category, while others fall under the specialist category. Specialist positions include Doctors, Legal Officers, Finance Specialists, Information Technology Officers, and Automobile Engineers.
Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualifications are different for each position. Generally, a graduate degree from any recognized university is required for the generalist position. For specialist positions, a specialized degree and experience in the relevant field are required. - General/OBC/EWS Category: ₹850/-
- SC/ST/PWD Category: ₹250/-

Selection Process
The NICL AO recruitment process will be conducted in two phases:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
- The preliminary examination will be objective in nature.
- It will include questions related to English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
- Separate cut-offs will be determined for each section.
Phase II: Main Examination
The main examination will have two parts:
Objective Examination
- For Generalist candidates:
- Logical Reasoning
- English Language
- General Awareness
- Computer Knowledge
- Quantitative Aptitude
- For Specialist candidates, in addition to the above subjects:
- Technical knowledge related to the relevant field
Descriptive Examination
- This will include essay writing and précis writing in English.
- Candidates will have to answer using typing.
Post-Selection Benefits
Candidates who successfully pass both examinations will be called for an interview. The final selection will be based on the merit list and the interview.
