Nifty Opens Above 23200 Sensex Gains 332 Points as Asian Markets Advance

Indian equity benchmarks opened higher amid positive cues from Asian markets. The Nifty 50 rose to 23,259 and the Sensex traded near 73,850 in early trade, while gains in InterGlobe Aviation and other select stocks supported market sentiment.

Indian equity benchmarks opened higher on the back of positive cues from Asian markets. The Nifty 50 opened 136 points higher at 23,259, while the BSE Sensex was trading around 73,850, up 332 points in early trade.

Domestic markets began the session on a firm note as investors responded to positive global signals. Supported by gains across Asian markets and improved investor sentiment, key benchmark indices opened in positive territory. During early trading, the Nifty 50 moved above the 23,200 level, while the Sensex also traded with gains.

Market participants attributed the initial support to global economic signals and b participation from domestic investors. However, investor attention remains focused on international economic developments, crude oil prices and major corporate updates.

In early trade, the Nifty 50 advanced about 136 points to 23,259. The BSE Sensex rose approximately 332 points to trade near 73,850. Notably, Gift Nifty had indicated a weaker start earlier in the morning, but gains across Asian markets strengthened sentiment in domestic equities.

The positive trend in Asian equities was reflected in Indian markets. Japan’s Nikkei index was trading more than 1.8 percent higher, supporting investor confidence across the region. Globally, investors continue to monitor key economic data, central bank policy developments and geopolitical events that could influence the direction of upcoming trading sessions.

Among the top gainers on the Nifty in early trade were Trent Ltd, InterGlobe Aviation, Jio Financial Services, Grasim Industries and Shriram Finance.

Among the major laggards were Infosys, Tata Steel, NTPC, Hindalco and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries.

At the sectoral level, investors showed interest in select consumer, financial and aviation stocks.

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, gained around 2 percent during early trading. According to market analysts, several brokerage firms have maintained a positive view on the company following a recent investor event. Despite challenges including potential increases in fuel costs and delays in aircraft deliveries, investors continue to express confidence in the company’s long-term growth plans.
