A school van carrying children collided with a truck parked on the roadside in Rajasthan's Banswara district on Wednesday morning, leaving one child dead and several others injured. Two of the injured children remain in critical condition, and police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
According to available information, the school van was transporting children to St. Paul School when it lost control and struck a truck parked along the Dahod Road in Banswara. The accident occurred a short distance from the school.
Witnesses said the impact severely damaged the front portion of the van, trapping several children inside the vehicle.
Local residents reached the scene after hearing the collision and began rescue operations. They pulled the trapped children from the damaged van and transported several of the injured to hospital in private vehicles before ambulances arrived.

All injured children were taken to MG Hospital in Banswara, where doctors began treatment immediately.
One child, who had sustained critical injuries, died during treatment despite doctors performing CPR and other necessary medical interventions. According to doctors, two children remain in critical condition and are under continuous medical observation, while treatment for the other injured children is ongoing.
