Outrage Over Rajasthan Minister's Welcome After School Tragedy: Dotasra Demands Dismissal

Controversy erupts over Education Minister's welcome after 7 children die in Jhalawar accident; Dotasra calls it insensitive, demands resignation and dismissal.

Govind Singh Dotasra: Political turmoil has intensified in Rajasthan after the tragic death of seven innocent children in the Jhalawar district due to the collapse of a school building. The opposition has bly attacked the government after a video of Education Minister Madan Dilawar's welcome ceremony surfaced the day after the accident. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra termed it the height of "insensitivity," demanding the minister's resignation and appealing to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately dismiss him.

Accident Shakes the Entire State

The incident in Jhalawar has exposed the reality of dilapidated school buildings in rural areas. Locals say cracks in the school's walls had been present for a long time, but the administration ignored them. A pall of gloom has descended on the village after the accident, with the weeping and wailing scenes of families deeply disturbing the entire state.

Strong Objection Raised to Welcome Ceremony

On the second day after the incident, a video went viral on social media showing Education Minister Madan Dilawar being given a grand welcome with rose petals, garlands, and a band. This scene provided the opposition with a major opportunity to question the government.

Dotasra said: "When seven families had not even been able to cremate their children, it is shameful to honor the Education Minister with flowers. Should such a minister remain in office even for a day?"

'This is Not an Accident, But a Murder by the System'

Dotasra described the incident not merely as administrative negligence but as "murder by the system." He said that the government had claimed to have surveyed and repaired dilapidated buildings in advance, but in reality, no concrete steps were taken.

Political Clash Over Demand for Resignation

Dotasra told reporters in Sikar: "If the Education Minister understands moral responsibility, he should resign immediately. If he does not remove himself, the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister should immediately dismiss him." He questioned that the minister cannot escape by simply saying, "I have taken responsibility, now the Chief Minister will decide."

'Where Did the 16 Crore Budget Go?'

Dotasra alleged that the government had sanctioned 16 crore rupees for the maintenance of school buildings, but there is no clear information about where that money was spent. He also said that many schools in rural areas are still in dilapidated condition and such accidents could happen again at any time.
