Bihar Election 2025: The political activity in Bihar is once again intensifying. While Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is preparing to connect with the public through the 'Vote Adhikar Yatra,' independent MP and prominent figure in Bihar politics, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, has directly challenged the Election Commission. He stated that if there have been irregularities in the voting process, the current Lok Sabha should be dissolved and a new election should be held.
Pappu Yadav's Support for Rahul Gandhi
Speaking to the media in Patna, Pappu Yadav clearly stated that Rahul Gandhi's decision to connect with the public is a step towards strengthening democracy. He said, "Every leader has the right to express their views and connect with the public. The leaders of the Grand Alliance have the strength to contest in the electoral arena, and I support this yatra."
He mentioned that from August 17th, he too will be a part of the movement in Bihar for voting rights, the protection of the poor, and the defense of the Constitution. According to Pappu Yadav, Rahul Gandhi's 'Vote Adhikar Yatra' is not just a political program, but a fight for the rights and justice of the people.
Questions on Double Voter ID and SIR Controversy
Pappu Yadav raised serious questions about the Election Commission's functioning regarding the double EPIC number (duplicate voter ID) and SIR (Special Intensive Revision) controversy. He said, "I have said before that voter IDs should be linked to Aadhaar cards. If that happens, there will be no scope for fraud. But they are avoiding doing it. On one hand, they say there are 8 lakh double voter IDs, and on the other hand, no concrete action is being taken."
He alleged that the BJP came to power by stealing votes. According to him, the Election Commission is neither providing CCTV footage nor is it ready to provide the voter list. "It is also not being revealed whose 6.5 million votes were deleted and why? When no clear reason is being given for deleting the votes, then this process itself is suspicious."
It Was Predetermined Whose Votes to Delete
Pappu Yadav alleges that the action of deleting votes was not impartial. He questioned that when the BLO (Booth Level Officer) did not take any written documents or identity cards from the people, then on what basis was it decided whose names should be removed. "It seems that it was predetermined which voters' votes should be removed. This is a direct violation of democratic rights."
Demand to Dissolve Lok Sabha and Hold New Elections
Making the biggest statement, Pappu Yadav said, "If the Lok Sabha election was held on the basis of Aadhaar cards and that process is found to be wrong, then the current Lok Sabha should be dissolved first. After that, a new Lok Sabha election should be held. Until the election process is completely transparent and fair, the public's trust will not be restored."
He also added that the Election Commission must ensure transparency before the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process.
