Patanjali has launched a new Civil Services Academy in Haridwar, introducing a training model focused on preparing capable and responsible officers for administrative services through Indian cultural knowledge, modern education and yoga-based training.
The inauguration of the Patanjali Civil Services Academy was accompanied by the announcement of a new training framework for civil services aspirants. The academy will integrate the Indian knowledge tradition, modern administrative studies and yoga-based personality development. Educator Avadh Ojha will play a leading role in its operations, providing students with an opportunity for comprehensive preparation.
The academy, established at the Patanjali University campus in Haridwar, is being presented as a specialised educational initiative. The institution states that civil services aspirants will receive holistic training that goes beyond the conventional coaching model. According to the academy, the curriculum has been designed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) and the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) framework.
The training model will emphasise maintaining a balance between India’s cultural heritage and a modern scientific outlook. The academy maintains that success in administrative services requires not only subject knowledge but also a broad perspective and social understanding. To achieve this objective, special emphasis will be placed on developing students’ analytical abilities, leadership skills and sensitivity towards public welfare.
The academy will implement a “Tri-Shiksha” model that combines spiritual knowledge, administrative excellence and academic rigour. Yoga guru Swami Ramdev said that b character and ethical values are as important for administrative officers as academic qualifications.
Under this approach, yoga, pranayama and prayer will form part of students’ daily routines. The institution aims to strengthen students’ mental and physical development so that they can make balanced decisions even in challenging situations. The academy believes that self-confidence, discipline and a positive outlook are essential for effectively carrying out administrative responsibilities.
Avadh Ojha, a teacher and civil services mentor, will oversee the academy’s academic leadership. He said the institution’s objective is not only to provide information but also to develop students’ judgment and analytical capabilities. During the initial phase, he will conduct special sessions on history and motivational subjects.
According to the academy, experienced teachers from Delhi and other major educational centres across the country will also be associated with the teaching process. In addition, students will receive career counselling, information on alternative career options and supplementary academic support for competitive examinations.
The institution has also announced scholarships for meritorious students and special awards for high performers. Equipped with modern teaching resources, residential facilities and sports infrastructure, the academy will work towards becoming a centre for civil services preparation in the coming years.
