Patna Police Arrests Man After Viral Video of Weapon Brandishing

The main accused, Manish Kavya, was arrested with a country-made pistol and cartridges after a reel showing him brandishing weapons went viral in Kab village, Patna. Several criminals, including a journalist, were involved in the video.

Patna: A reel that went viral on social media in Patna, the capital of Bihar, has shaken everyone from the police department to the general public. In this video, made on the song ‘Limit Mein Rahiye’ (Stay Within Limits), young men are seen openly mocking the law by brandishing weapons. Behind this reel were not only a singer but also a so-called journalist and several young men with criminal backgrounds. The promptness of the police has led to a major revelation in the case, and the main accused has been arrested with a country-made pistol and live cartridges.

Video Viral, Police Act

This video is from Kab village under Ranitalab police station in Paliganj sub-division area, in which some youths were seen brandishing weapons while posing on the song 'Limit Mein Rahiye'. As soon as this video went viral, the police swung into action and started the investigation. The video was not only making a mockery of the law but was also creating an atmosphere of fear in the village. City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh issued a press statement in this matter, saying, 'The intention of spreading fear among the villagers through the video was clear. This was a well-thought-out strategy, which has now turned into a crime.'

Main Accused Arrested, Weapons Recovered

After investigating the video and tracking the location, the police arrested Manish Kumar alias Manish Kavya, a resident of Kab village. A country-made pistol and three live cartridges have been recovered from him. Manish Kavya is not only the main face of this video, but he is also said to be the writer and singer of the song. It has also come to light in the police investigation that four criminal cases are already registered against Manish, all under the Arms Act.

A Journalist and Several Criminal Faces Involved in the Video

The police investigation has also revealed the identities of other people appearing in the video. Some of their names are as follows:

  • Ratnesh Kumar – A young man who claims to be a journalist
  • Suraj Kumar, Varun Singh, Sardar Kumar, Jitendra Singh
  • And Divyansh Kumar alias Anshu – The main accused in the murder of sand businessman Ramakant Yadav

On checking the background of all the accused, it was found that all of them are involved in criminal cases in various police stations. The most shocking thing is that a so-called journalist, who is called the carrier of information in the society, also turned out to be a part of this weapon-reel gang.

Connection to Sand Businessman Murder Case

During the investigation, another big revelation was made that Divyansh Kumar alias Anshu, who is seen in the video, is the same youth who is the main accused in the Ramakant Yadav murder case. Serious crimes are registered against Divyansh in various police stations of Patna district. The police believe that through this video, the accused wanted to intimidate people by showing their power and fear. This reel emerged as an advertisement for a criminal network rather than a film stunt.

Social Media Becomes a New Platform for Criminals?

This case also reveals how social media is now being misused to display hooliganism and dominance. Making videos on platforms like Instagram and Facebook to spread fear is now becoming a new weapon for criminals.

Police Formulated a Strategy for Arrest

City SP informed that the remaining accused have been identified and their arrest warrants have been issued. Ranitalab police station, Paliganj police and special team together will arrest all the accused soon under a joint operation. Also, with the help of cyber cell, a thorough investigation is also being done on the equipment and social media accounts used in making, editing and uploading the video. A new case has also been registered on the basis of the video, in which various sections of Arms Act, IT Act, and Indian Penal Code have been imposed. A total of 5 criminal cases have now been registered against the arrested Manish Kumar.
