PM Modi said that the rapid development happening in Bihar today has been made possible through the cooperation of the central and state governments. He accused the former UPA government of acting with a sense of revenge against Nitish Kumar's government. He stated that after his government came to power, this policy was ended and the budget was increased several times over.
PM Awas Yojana Transformed the Lives of Millions
Modi stated that under the PM Awas Yojana, over 4 crore pucca houses have been built so far, out of which 7 lakh are in Bihar alone. He made special mention of over three lakh houses in Motihari. He said that earlier, the poor did not have bank accounts and had to hide even ₹10. Through the Jan Dhan Yojana, crores of women were connected to banking facilities. 3.5 crore women's accounts were opened in Bihar, into which the scheme amounts are directly sent. This has given economic power to women.
Lakhpati Didi Yojana Became the Pivot of Change
Discussing the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, the Prime Minister said that the target across the country is 3 crores, out of which 1.5 crore women have already come into this category. More than 20 lakh Lakhpati Didis have been created in Bihar. Mentioning 80,000 Lakhpati Didis in Champaran, he said that this is a new era of women's empowerment.
New Schemes and Employment Opportunities for the Youth

Attack on the Opposition: 'The Era of the Lantern is Gone'
Modi targeted the opposition party RJD, saying that instead of giving people jobs, they used to get their land written in their names. He said that it is no longer the era of the 'lantern'; this is the 'New Light Bihar'. Under the leadership of the NDA, the state has taken a new direction of development.
He stated that in the past years, the government has taken strict action against Naxalism. The influence of Naxalites is ending in districts like Champaran, Gaya, Jamui, and Aurangabad. The youth are now getting the right to dream instead of being afraid.
