PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a historic step in Gujarat. He inaugurated hybrid battery electrode production at the TDS Lithium-Ion Battery Plant and flagged off Suzuki's new electric vehicle, the e-Vitara. On this occasion, PM Modi announced that electric vehicles made in India will now be exported to 100 countries. This step will not only propel India forward in the field of green energy but will also take the Make in India dream to new heights.
A 13-Year-Old Dream, Now Turned into Reality
On this occasion, PM Modi recalled that this journey began 13 years ago. In 2012, when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he allotted land to Maruti Suzuki in Hansalpur. The vision of a self-reliant India and Make in India started then. Today, that vision is becoming a reality, as the electric vehicles that will run in dozens of countries around the world will bear the label—Made in India.
A New Dimension to India-Japan Friendship
Modi said that this day is also very important for the friendship between India and Japan. The manufacturing of a Japanese brand like Suzuki in India and then the export of vehicles made here to Japan shows that India is rapidly moving towards becoming a global manufacturing hub. This is further strengthening the relationship between the two countries and proving India's potential to the world.
Competition for Investment and Development
PM Modi appealed to all the states to compete with each other for investment and development. He said that the investors should be confused about which state to invest in because every state is offering them better facilities. This competition will play an important role in taking India to the goal of a developed India by 2047.
Goal of a Developed India by 2047
Modi said that India has the power of democracy, the advantage of demography, and a skilled workforce. All these things together make India a b economic power at the global level. He urged the states to try to outdo each other in reforms, good governance, and pro-development policies. Only then will India be able to join the list of developed countries by 2047.
Steps Towards Green Energy and Sustainable Development
The launch of hybrid battery electrode production and the announcement of electric vehicle exports are a big leap for India towards green energy. Electric vehicles will not only reduce pollution but will also take India forward on the path of sustainable development.
