During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Uttarakhand, disaster-affected villagers from Dharali village became deeply emotional upon meeting him at the State Guest House at Jolly Grant Airport.
Dehradun: Villagers from Dharali, affected by the disaster, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the State Guest House at Jolly Grant Airport during his visit to Uttarakhand. These villagers, who lost everything in the devastating calamity on August 5, shared their stories of pain and destruction with the Prime Minister. This meeting was not only emotionally poignant but also brought a message of relief and hope to the disaster victims.
Kameshwaridevi's Heartbreaking Experience
Kameshwaridevi, who lost her young son Akash in this disaster, became so profoundly emotional in front of the Prime Minister that she was unable to speak. Tears streamed continuously from her eyes, and she could only say, "This disaster has taken everything from us. Not only has the family's livelihood been destroyed, but my elder son Akash is also gone."
Kameshwaridevi's plight illustrates that natural disasters not only destroy property but also have a profound impact on human lives and mental well-being.
Painful Stories of Other Affected Individuals
Other affected individuals from Dharali included:
- Village Head Ajay Negi
- BDC Representative Sushil Panwar
- Mahila Mangal Dal President Sunita Devi
