The Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the event in Berhampur and instructed officials to ensure the visit is well-organized and memorable.
He stated that no shortcomings or negligence would be tolerated on this occasion. During this visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the national-level “Seva Parv” program organized at Rangilunda ground in Ganjam district and will inaugurate several key projects.
Prime Minister to participate in Seva Parv
According to sources, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate several important development works and projects during the program. These include capacity expansion of eight IITs across the country, doubling of Koraput-Baiguda and Manabar-Koraput-Gorpur railway lines, inauguration of the Sambalpur-Sarala flyover, and the launch of indigenous 4G network services nationwide by BSNL.
Furthermore, MKCG and VIMSAR Medical Colleges will be granted global super-specialty status. The Prime Minister will inaugurate skill development projects and provide assistance to 50,000 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana. This visit is an opportunity to showcase Odisha's progress and development potential on a national platform.
Chief Minister Gives Strict Instructions to Officials
Considering the Prime Minister's visit, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure there are no shortcomings in the travel route, arrival-departure, and security. He stated that all arrangements, including crowd management, health, water, and electricity, must be fully prepared. Coordination with central agencies (coordination) must be of excellent standard. Inauguration and project progress work should be completed on time to make the event memorable for the public. The Chief Minister clarified in the meeting that this visit is not just a formal event but an opportunity to showcase the state's achievements and development potential.
Officials' Presentation
In the meeting, officials presented a report on the preparations for the PM's visit, security arrangements, and the status of the event venue. The Chief Minister reiterated that no shortcomings would be tolerated and no stone would be left unturned to make the program memorable for the public. Steel and Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Fisheries and Human Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallick, Industrial Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Minister's Advisor Prakash Mishra, and Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja were present at the meeting.
Also present were Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Satyabrata Sahoo, Director General of Police Y.B. Khurania, Additional Chief Secretary of Information and Public Relations Department Hemant Sharma, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Saswata Mishra. Principal Secretary of the Works Department Sanjay Kumar Singh also attended the meeting.
