PM Modi's Manipur Visit

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Manipur is likely to take place on September 13, 2025. According to officials, PM Modi will reach Manipur after visiting Mizoram and will inaugurate a railway project there. However, there has been no official confirmation of this trip from New Delhi or Imphal. The BJP's Manipur unit has also not officially confirmed the visit yet. Despite this, the media and administrative sources are engaged in preparations for this visit.

For security reasons, Churachandpur district has been declared a 'drone-prohibited area'. District Magistrate Dharun Kumar S issued an order stating that this step has been taken for security reasons during the VIP visit. Churachandpur district is considered a particularly sensitive area. This district is a bhold of the Kuki community and is located near the border with Mizoram.
