UP Politics: Pooja Pal, the MLA from Chayal Assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh, has leveled serious allegations against the Samajwadi Party (SP) and its National President Akhilesh Yadav. She stated that the SP, by supporting the family of mafia Atique Ahmed, has attacked her life and political career, as well as that of her late husband. Pooja Pal made these accusations in a letter addressed to Akhilesh Yadav, which has gone viral on social media.

The Pain of Her Husband's Murder and Accusations Against SP

In her letter, Pooja Pal recounted that her husband, Raju Pal, was murdered in 2005 during the SP's rule. At that time, AK-47s were used to spread terror for hours on the main roads of Prayagraj. Pooja Pal alleges that the SP protected the criminals during her husband's murder. She stated that after this incident, she fears that SP-backed mafia and goons could have her killed.

SP Fielded My Husband's Killer Against Me in the Election

Pooja Pal clarified that the SP opposed her and her husband by fielding Atique Ahmed's brother, Ashraf, as a candidate in three elections. She wrote that when she needed support, the SP fielded her husband's killer against her in the election. Despite this, the people of her constituency and the Pal community supported her and defeated the SP's criminals. Pooja Pal expressed her gratitude to the public and the Pal community.

I Wanted Justice, Not a Ministerial Position

In response to Akhilesh Yadav's statement, Pooja Pal said that her aim was never to become a minister. Her main objective was to bring her husband's murderers to justice. She stated that the Yogi government gave her justice and had the murderers punished. Pooja Pal said that the SP still protects criminals, which future generations will not forgive.

SP Could Not Tolerate Criticism of Criminals

Pooja Pal clarified the reason for her expulsion from the SP. She said that there is a misconception in society that she was expelled from the party due to cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha elections. In reality, she was expelled when she mentioned the name of mafia Atique Ahmed in the House. She stated that the SP could not tolerate criticism of criminals, and this step boosted the morale of Atique Ahmed's family.

Pooja Pal's Jibe at the PDA Formula

Pooja Pal also questioned the SP's PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula. She said that Akhilesh Yadav repeatedly changes its meaning. Pooja Pal clarified that she is a daughter of a small, helpless Pal community, and despite being the National President of the SP, he is not consistent on the PDA.

Demand for Security and Investigation from the Home Ministry

Pooja Pal also wrote in her letter that she has sent a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking an investigation. She expressed confidence that the Home Ministry will take appropriate action in this matter. She stated that the SP-backed mafia poses a threat to her life, so an immediate investigation is necessary.

SP Rule vs. Yogi Government

Pooja Pal said that her husband's murder took place during the SP's rule. She stated that since then, such a crime has not occurred under the Yogi government. She clarified that she is threatened by the SP-backed mafia, not by the current government or BJP leaders. Pooja Pal said that the SP's policies promote crime in society.

Insulting the Most Backward Classes is SP's Policy

Pooja Pal questioned why the SP did not give proper representation to the Most Backward Classes. She said that the SP only prioritizes its own community and the Muslim community. She said that the Most Backward Classes were not given respect in society. According to her, history bears witness that the SP cannot work for the Most Backward Classes.
