Prashant Kishor accuses Lalu Prasad Yadav of insulting Ambedkar in Muzaffarpur; challenges Rahul Gandhi to fight alone; questions Nitish Kumar's health and ministerial performance; demands Mangal Pandey's resignation.
Bihar Politics: During a press conference in Muzaffarpur, Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor issued an open challenge to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that Lalu Yadav insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar and that Rahul Gandhi remained silent on the issue. Kishor also stated that if Rahul Gandhi possesses the courage, he should publicly oppose Lalu and contest the Bihar elections alone. He also raised serious questions about Nitish Kumar's health and administrative style.
Accusation of insulting Ambedkar against Lalu Yadav
Prashant Kishor alleged that RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav insulted Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar by placing his feet in front of his picture on a public platform. Kishor stated that this is not just a political issue, but a matter concerning the respect of the country's constitution maker. He asked Rahul Gandhi, who often speaks of "fearlessness" (daro mat) from every platform, whether he is now afraid of Lalu Yadav.
He said, “If Rahul Gandhi genuinely wants to practice the politics of equality and justice, he should clearly criticize Lalu Yadav's behavior. But he is silent because Congress has now become a coalition partner of the RJD.”
Sharp attack on Congress
Kishor alleged that Congress is now completely subservient to the RJD. He said, “Earlier, Congress was carrying Lalu Yadav's flag; now, it is carrying Tejashwi Yadav's. If Rahul Gandhi has the political guts, let him contest the Bihar elections alone.”
Prashant Kishor said that Congress has lost its independent identity in Bihar. According to him, if Congress wants to revive itself in the state, it must formulate its strategy independently, separate from the RJD.
Why the silence on the Telangana Chief Minister?
Accusing Rahul Gandhi of double standards, Prashant Kishor said that when the Telangana Chief Minister made objectionable remarks against Biharis, Rahul Gandhi did not react. Kishor stated that the Telangana Chief Minister said that Biharis only have the DNA for small jobs, but Congress remained silent at that time due to its lust for power in Telangana.
Questions about Nitish Kumar's health
Regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's efficiency, Prashant Kishor said that if the Janata Dal United believes that their leader is completely healthy, they should file a defamation suit against him. Kishor claimed that Nitish Kumar is no longer in a position to effectively govern the state.
He questioned how a Chief Minister who cannot speak properly can lead a state with a population of 12 crore. This statement by Prashant Kishor could create a stir in political circles as there has been speculation about Nitish Kumar's health for some time.
Targeting Ashok Chaudhary and his family
Kishor also targeted Minister Ashok Chaudhary. He said that Ashok Chaudhary calls himself a leader of the Dalits, but in reality, he has only worked to benefit his family politically.
He said, “On one hand, he talks about Dalits, and on the other, he got his daughter elected as an MP and his son-in-law included in the Religious Trust Board. After all, what concrete work has he done for the Dalit community?”
Demand for the resignation of the Health Minister
Prashant Kishor demanded the immediate resignation of Bihar's Health Minister, Mangal Pandey. He alleged that after the rape and murder of a girl child in Kudhani, there was gross negligence in treatment, but the government took no notice. Kishor said that even during COVID-19, the Health Ministry's massive failures came to light, and now a similar situation is arising. He alleged that Mangal Pandey is directly responsible for the deterioration of health services.
