Sultanpur / Dhanpatganj – Villagers witnessed a terrifying scene in a field when a huge python completely swallowed a nilgai calf. After receiving information about the incident, a forest department team arrived at the scene, rescued the python, and released it into the forest. The incident has created a stir in the area.
Details of the Incident
Farmers working in the field rushed to the spot upon hearing a sound. They saw that an approximately 8-foot-long python had coiled itself around a nilgai calf. The frightened farmer informed Dial 112, following which the forest department team was immediately called. The forest department team captured the python and released it in a forest reserve.
DFO Jai Prakash Singh stated that as soon as the forest staff received information, a team was dispatched to the scene. According to villagers, wild animals are often seen in Bodhi Pond and the surrounding bushes. However, the sighting of a python in an open field is a cause for concern.
