After the elections, there were reports of strain in the relationship between the two parties, but now this duo appears to be b again. From Parliament to the streets, both leaders have jointly opened a front against the Modi government. This clearly indicates that these two will be together in the 2027 elections as well.

The 'Two Boys' Duo Showed Strength in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

In Uttar Pradesh's 80 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP won only 33 seats, while the SP won 37 and the Congress won 6 seats. Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav together weakened the BJP this time from its position of strength. Rahul Gandhi campaigned for the SP in Kannauj, and Akhilesh Yadav held a public meeting for the Congress in Raebareli. In this way, both parties together shook the foundations of the BJP.

Political Chemistry Became Strength

In the monsoon session of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav jointly raised their voices on issues such as voter verification and SIR in Bihar. When Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of vote theft in Parliament, Akhilesh Yadav openly supported him. Both leaders also held protests on the streets. Akhilesh Yadav protested by climbing on the barricades put up by the police. In this way, both leaders were seen standing together on every front.

Estrangement and Then Improvement in Relations

For some time after the Lok Sabha elections, there was bitterness in the SP-Congress relations. Differences between the two parties began to emerge in the by-elections of Haryana, Maharashtra, and UP. Congress MP Imran Masood also questioned the SP's Muslim politics. Distance was also maintained between the two parties on the issue of Sambhal violence. But now it seems that these differences are gradually decreasing and the Rahul-Akhilesh duo is reuniting again.

Together in the Election Commission and Voter List Dispute

Rahul Gandhi recently gave a 22-page presentation regarding irregularities in the voter list. He accused vote theft and said that the Election Commission should answer in this matter. Akhilesh Yadav also fully supported Rahul Gandhi on this issue. He said that questioning the credibility of the Election Commission is a serious matter and it is necessary to debate on this.

Preparations Begin for the 2027 Elections

Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav both want to defeat the BJP by uniting their respective strengths. This alliance is also giving political life to the Congress in UP. At the same time, this alliance can open the way for Akhilesh Yadav to return to power.
