Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: The Rajasthan government on Saturday transferred approximately Rs 718 crore as the fourth installment to nearly 72 lakh farmers in the state under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (CM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana). This amount reflects the state government's commitment to improving farmers' income and their prosperity.

Chief Minister Sharma's Message

At the state-level program held in Nadbai, Bharatpur, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that farmers are the builders of the nation and the soul of India. He emphasized that it is only when farmers toil day and night in their fields that food reaches our plates. He specifically mentioned the term 'Annadata' (food provider) to highlight the respect, dignity, and importance of farmers in society.

Features of the Scheme

Under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the state government provides an additional Rs 3,000 annually to farmers, over and above the central scheme. Under the central scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 per year. This amount from the state government is supplementary to the central assistance, thereby increasing the total benefit for farmers and strengthening their economic condition.

Statistics So Far

The Rajasthan government has so far transferred a total of over Rs 1,355 crore to more than 70 lakh farmers under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This clearly indicates that the state government is consistently working towards improving farmers' income and their prosperity.

Government Initiatives

Sharma stated that if farmers prosper, the country and the state will also develop. Therefore, the state's 'double engine' government is working tirelessly to strengthen the economic condition of farmers and provide them with all possible assistance. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, considering farmers paramount, with the aim of providing financial aid and respect to the nation's food providers.

Benefits for Farmers

The Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides direct financial assistance to farmers. This increases their capacity to invest in farming, helps them purchase seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural equipment, and improves their lifestyle. The scheme is particularly beneficial for small and marginal farmers.
