Rajiv Pratap Rudy Secures Victory in Constitution Club of India Election, Defeating Sanjeev Balyan

Rajiv Pratap Rudy recently won the election for the Secretary (Administration) post at the Constitution Club of India (CCI), defeating his own party rival, Sanjeev Balyan.

Constitution Club Election Result: Rajiv Pratap Rudy maintained his 25-year dominance in the management of the Constitution Club of India (CCI). In this election, he faced a tough challenge from his fellow BJP leader Sanjeev Balyan and won in a very exciting manner. Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal reacted to this result.

He sarcastically commented that if the elections were held by secret ballot, the so-called 'Chanakya' would have clearly lost. He also said that if elections are held fairly in Bihar, the 'Chanakya' will lose again.

Kapil Sibal's Statement and Political Manoeuvring

Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal reacted to this election by making a sarcastic comment on the social media platform ‘X’. He said that when elections are held through secret ballot, the so-called 'Chanakya' will lose. He specifically mentioned the upcoming elections in Bihar, saying, “If the election is fair, Chanakya will lose again.” In this way, Sibal indirectly criticized the political strategies of the opposition parties.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy's Victory and Reaction

Many prominent leaders, including those from BJP and Congress, participated in the CCI election. After the victory, Rudy said in a conversation with the media that he had won the election by a margin of more than 100 votes. He also thanked the members of his panel, who were associated with various parties and who supported him in the election. Rudy said,

'This is a great victory for all the MPs and those who came to vote and have been supporting the tireless efforts of the team for the last two decades. It's been a great experience.'

This victory not only proved the strength of his leadership but also showed that a balance can be maintained in the election with the support of members of opposition parties as well.

Voting and Election Process

According to a PTI report, BJP's Amit Shah and JP Nadda, as well as Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Kiren Rijiju, and governors like Shiv Pratap Shukla of Himachal Pradesh also cast their votes. Sanjeev Balyan participated in the election with the support of Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey and other BJP leaders, while many members associated with the opposition parties remained in favor of Rudy. Out of a total of 1,295 current and former MPs, more than 680 valid votes were cast. There was a contest between 14 candidates for the 11 executive member positions.
